Generating an executive summary is simple and can be done directly from the Documents view.
In the Documents view, locate the document you want to summarize and select it by checking the checkbox on the left-hand side of the document row.
Once a document is selected, an Executive Summary button will appear in the top action banner.
Click Executive Summary in the top banner.
A dialog will open; explaining what an AI-generated executive summary is and how the feature works.
In the dialog, click Generate Summary.
The AI model will analyze the document and generate a summary based on its contents. Depending on the document size, this process may take a few moments.
Note: Executive summaries are only available for documents that meet the minimum eligibility requirements of at least 3 pages and more than 750 words.
Once generated, the executive summary will open in a preview window.
The preview provides a concise overview of the document's key information and can be used to quickly understand the document before reading it in full.
From the summary preview, you can:
The generated summary is stored and will be available to other users with access to the same document.
The first user who generates a summary creates the version that will be displayed for all users with access to that document. The summary is stored and reused for future views, ensuring a consistent experience across teams.
At this time, summaries cannot be edited or regenerated once they have been created.
