Setup Q&A and Gatekeeper

About the Gatekeeper Functionality

The Q&A module allows enabling gatekeeper functionality, assigning users as gatekeepers responsible for publishing questions and answers to the opposite side of the data room. This acts as quality control, useful for large transactions with many questions and answers.

• Buyer Side Gatekeepers: Review and Publish questions to the seller side.
• Seller Side Gatekeepers: Review and Publish answers to the buyer side.
• A data room can have unlimited gatekeepers.

Gatekeeper Setup

To enable gatekeeper functionality:

1. Go to Settings > Q&A Settings.
2. Select to enable gatekeeper for the buyer side, seller side, or both.
3. Click Save Changes.

Next, assign users as gatekeepers:

1. Click the shortcut under Gatekeeper settings to access Settings > Manage Users and Permissions.
2. Check the GK column next to the users you want to enable as gatekeepers.

Using the Gatekeeper

In the Q&A tab, the status of questions is displayed. If an answer is listed as Unpublished, there is an answer to review as a gatekeeper. Click the question title to view details.

To assign the question to another user on the seller side:

1. Click Edit Responsible and select the relevant user from the drop-down menu.
2. Click Notify to send an email notification.

Gatekeepers can publish, edit, or delete the answer and change the category of the original question if necessary.

Follow up questions

To enable follow up questions:

1. Go to Settings > Q&A Settings
   

2. Activate follow-up questions

When the seller has posted an answer to the question, the buyer is given the opportunity to ask a follow-up question related to the initial question. Follow up questions can only be added to previously answered questions.
