Release notes – April 2019. This release concerns the Admincontrol iOS app for iPhone and iPad. Version 4.6 was published in the App Store on 1 April 2019 and it is a required update: the security certificate used by earlier versions expires on 23 May 2019, and from that date only app version 4.6 or newer can connect to Admincontrol.

The Admincontrol iOS app is updated to version 4.6

On April 1^st, the iOS app version 4.6 was made available in the App Store with the following highlights:

• Improved workflow for forgotten password
• Improved warning message when using the app on insecure networks
• Ability to set up Limited electronic signature from the app

New security certificate and end of support for iOS 10

• Our current security certificate expires on May 23^rd. Thereafter, you will need app version 4.6 or newer to access the app
• 4.6 is the last version of the app which will have support for iOS 10. From the next version and onwards the Admincontrol app will only support iOS 11 and newer. The current version is iOS 12

It is important for all users to update to the latest version of the iOS app.

What this means for you

• Update before 23 May 2019. Open the App Store on your iPad or iPhone, search for Admincontrol and install the update, or enable automatic updates so future versions install on their own.
• Forgotten password. The improved workflow lets you request a new password from the app's login screen instead of switching to the web application.
• Insecure networks. The app now gives a clearer warning when it detects an insecure network, for example an open Wi-Fi hotspot, so you can decide whether to continue or wait for a trusted connection.
• Limited electronic signature. Administrators can now set up the SMS-based Limited signature directly from the app.
• End of iOS 10 support. Version 4.6 is the last version that runs on iOS 10. Devices that cannot be upgraded to iOS 11 or newer will stop receiving app updates.

Applies to: Admincontrol iOS app 4.6 and newer on iPhone and iPad (iOS 11 or newer recommended).
