Board portal release notes – August 2023. The three improvements in this release all come from user feedback: an easier "Import agenda" dialog, clearer meeting invitations that name the person responsible for the meeting, and alphabetical sorting in every recipient list.
Import Agenda
Based on user feedback we have improved the modal for "Import agenda", so it will be easier for users to scroll in the list and select the action for import.
Responsible in meeting invitation
After feedback from users, we have made a change in the meeting notification making sure that the responsible for the meeting is by default presented in the invitation text. At the same time, we have made it less prominent who is actually preparing and sending the notification as this is not primary information for the invitation.
Sorting recipient lists
Based on user feedback we have changed the sorting in all "select recipient" lists, such as for meeting notification, signature request etc. The default sorting is now done alphabetically based on the users first name so that it is easier for the users to find the recipients they are looking for.
What this means for you
- Import agenda. The dialog that lets you reuse an agenda from a previous meeting is easier to scroll, and the import action is easier to find, which matters most for portals with a long meeting history.
- Meeting invitations. The notification email now presents the responsible for the meeting (typically the chair) as the sender of the invitation. The person who technically prepared and sent the notification, often the secretary, is shown less prominently. Recipients see at a glance whose meeting it is.
- Recipient lists. Wherever you pick recipients, for example for meeting notifications or signature requests, the list is sorted alphabetically by first name. Long user lists in large portals become much easier to work with.
- Nothing to configure. All three changes are active automatically for every board portal.
