End of NemID support for Danish users

NemID no longer supported

Starting from the 30th of June, NemID will no longer be supported for accessing our solutions and electronically signing documents. This means that users will no longer be able to log in to our solutions or sign documents electronically using NemID. Instead, all Admincontrol users in Denmark will have the option to use MitID for electronic logins and signatures.

Please note that this change is being implemented in accordance with Danish regulation which replaces NemID with the new MitID as the standard electronic ID for Danish citizens, which mandates the use of MitID as the standard electronic identification and signature solution in Denmark. Therefore, it is important for all users to transition to MitID before the deadline to ensure continued access to our solutions. This should be done in your User profile under Password and Electronic ID.

MitID and electronic signing

Some users signing documents with their Danish eID are experiencing issues with their name not being stated on the signature page of the signed document. This is due to the way in which NemID and MitID handle the protection of personal information. When protection of personal data is enabled in the electronic ID, this protection setting allows the user's personal information to be hidden from the service provider, while still allowing a legally valid signature to be generated and documented in the digital attachments to the document.

For the name to be displayed in the Signature List of the document, the user's personal information cannot be protected in the eID. This setting is handled by the issuer of the electronic ID, hence you must contact the issuer for MitID to change to this setting. It is important to note that the protection setting is intended to give users greater control over their personal information, but it may not always be appropriate in situations where legal signatures are required. Therefore, it is recommended to carefully consider the use of this protection setting before enabling it.
