Data room release notes – March 2022. This release raises the upload limits for the data room considerably and switches two-factor SMS codes from five letters to six digits.

What this means for you

• Larger uploads. A single document can now be up to 2 GB and one upload operation can contain up to 10 GB of files. Large financial models, scanned contracts and image-heavy reports can be uploaded in one go instead of being split.
• Folder structures. For a complete folder tree, the zip-upload feature remains the quickest route: pack the folders locally, upload the archive and choose to extract it in the data room.
• Six-digit SMS codes. Two-factor codes sent by SMS are now six digits, which are easier to read and type on a phone and can also be delivered as a voice call. The login steps themselves are unchanged.
• Supported formats. The list of supported file formats and PDF conversion options is unchanged; see the article below before uploading unusual file types.
• Tip for large batches. Upload related documents in one operation rather than many small ones, and keep the upload window open until processing has finished, so that every file is confirmed before you index the folder or open it to buyer roles.
