Release notes – November 2018. This release makes electronic signature available in all Admincontrol markets through a new SMS-based Limited signature, alongside the existing Advanced signature, and adds basic text formatting to the digital agenda in the board book.

E-signature for all markets

The newest version of the Admincontrol web application includes an alternative, SMS-based signing solution. The new alternative solution (Limited signature) meets eIDAS standards for electronic signatures, as does the current solution (Advanced signature).

Existing E-signature customers, as well as new E-signature customers, need to contact their Account Manager or our support to enable the new E-signature solution for their portal. For customers already using E-signature, the new solution is included in the subscription at no extra cost.

Board Book

It is now possible to use basic formatting in the digital agenda allowing for a more customized agenda layout. Options available are bold, italic and underlined text, as well as bullets and numbers.

What this means for you

• Two signature levels. Advanced signature uses a national electronic ID and remains available where such IDs exist. Limited signature identifies the signer with an SMS code and can therefore be used by board members in any country. Both meet the eIDAS standards for electronic signatures.
• Activation. Both existing and new e-signature customers need to ask their Account Manager or our support team to enable Limited signature in their portal. Customers who already subscribe to e-signature get the new option at no extra cost.
• Choosing a method. Many boards use Advanced signature for formal documents such as annual accounts and Limited signature for members abroad or documents with lower formal requirements. Your legal advisers can help you decide which level a given document needs.
• Agenda formatting. Bold, italic and underlined text as well as bullet and numbered lists can now be used in the digital agenda, which makes long agenda items easier to read in the board book.
