Data room release notes – December 2021

Data room release notes – December 2021. This release updates the colours of the email templates used for data room invitations and notifications, and it confirms the end of support for Microsoft Internet Explorer on 31 December 2021.

Updated email templates

We have changed the colors of our email templates, so that invitations and notifications sent from the Admincontrol solution by email are more aligned with the design in our solution.

End of support for Internet Explorer: 31st December 2021

Admincontrol take security seriously and are working continuously to ensure that our service is compliant with the latest security standards and advances within the security field.
Microsoft’s Internet Explorer (IE) web browser is unfortunately an outdated program based on older technologies. This means that it does not support modern technologies and that you as a user are at a higher risk of attacks if you choose to use this browser. Therefore, we have made the decision to prohibit access from Internet Explorer browsers, effective 31st December 2021. Read more here.

What this means for you

  • Email templates. Invitations, document notifications and Q&A notifications sent from the data room now use the same colours as the web application, so recipients recognise Admincontrol emails more easily. The content and the links in the emails are unchanged.
  • Internet Explorer is blocked from 31 December 2021. Internet Explorer no longer supports modern web technologies and exposes users to a higher risk of attacks. From the end of 2021, the data room can no longer be opened in Internet Explorer.
  • What to do. Use a current version of Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Safari. If your company standardises on Internet Explorer for legacy systems, ask your IT department to allow one of the supported browsers for Admincontrol.
  • No data is affected. Documents, users and settings in your data room are untouched; only the browser you use to access them must change.
