Data room release notes – June 2020. Web application version 5.2 improves the Secure Messaging module in the data room, so that it is easier to see who is part of a conversation before you send sensitive information.

Secure Messaging design improvements

When starting a new conversation, you can click the group name to see the recipients in the group.

In your inbox, your name and the three first recipients are displayed. The remaining recipients are shown by a number. Hover over the number will display their names.

What this means for you

• Check recipients before you write. When you start a new conversation with a group, click the group name to see every member of the group. In a data room this is a useful control: buyer and seller groups must never see each other's messages, and the list lets you confirm who will receive the message.
• A tidier inbox. Each conversation in the inbox shows your name and the first three recipients. If there are more, they are summarised as a number; hover over the number to see their names without opening the conversation.
• Nothing changes for existing conversations. Messages you have already sent and received are shown with the new layout, and notification settings are unchanged.
• Same module in the app. Secure Messaging works the same way in the Admincontrol app, where the group members are also listed under the group name.
• Notifications. How often you are notified about new messages is managed in your profile settings; this release changes how conversations are displayed, not what you receive.
• Version 5.2. This is a web application release. No update of the Admincontrol app is required to benefit from the changes.
