Board portal release notes – March 2022. This release lets you attach an online meeting link to a board meeting and switches two-factor SMS codes from five letters to six digits.

Online meeting links

Online board meetings are here to stay! We want to make it easy to access the Board meeting and at the same time having the meeting documentation available. Add your link to the meeting in your portal. Participants can then access the online meeting by redirecting to the meeting provider or by using the copy-paste function. Please note that video links are currently only available in our web application. We are working to add thins functionality in our mobile apps as soon as possible.

Better two-factor authentication SMS codes

SMS codes used for two-factor authentication are changed from five letters to six digits. This will make it easier to read and type in on mobile. It will also make it easier to receive the code as voice call.

What this means for you

• Online meeting links. Add the link from your meeting provider (for example Teams, Zoom or Webex) to the meeting in the portal. Participants open the video meeting from the same place where they read the agenda and board book, either by following the link or by copying it.
• Web first. Links are shown in the web application. Support in the iOS and Android apps follows in a later release, so app users should open the meeting page in a browser for now.
• Six-digit SMS codes. Codes are easier to read and type on a phone, and they can be delivered by voice call for users who cannot receive SMS. The code is still valid for a short time only and must be entered on the login page.
• Nothing to set up. The new code format applies automatically; existing two-factor settings stay as they are.

Applies to: Board portal web application; SMS code change applies to all users with SMS-based two-factor authentication.
